Barbie's Novel

Exploring the graphic aspects of the silver fotography, its interresting to create a narrative story with that visual experimentations and series of pictures. I explored the lighting, the staging, the composition, the performing of the dolls and accessories. U sing dolls usually refer to the childhood but here i needed to express my beginning of "adult" life as a undefined part or "after" teenager time...

That period is so mysterious and unknown, difficult to  express because most experiences are new, uncomfortable or insecure, a lot of feelings, mixed with fears and fantasies, as a particular life inside the everyday life. We don't know what is real or imagination, what is happen now or what is the sens of the strange experiences: jealousy, love relashionships, independent way of life, social life, obession of the beauty and idealism next to ideological way of life as Barbie represents. It's a violence of the impossible myth and the reality of a normal life, the perfection and consumerism and the reals needs to nourish and take care, the dreams of life and the difficult and suffering trials.

Barbie is a model of unrealistic woman, with unrealistic body aspect and proportions, first she had blond hairs and blue eyes that was very stigmatizing  elitist and racialist and maybe an aspect of common and unconsciously racism. For me who move a lot my body and dance since I'm young and before being a woman, this female model can't move and open his legs. So without the sexual and gestural aspects, what does it mean?

Does it mean sexual is repressed? female sexuality? But breasts are very prominent and face very feminine as a top model system.

So its important to have a real look about the objects  of society as models for children and future adults. These are very powerful artefacts which condition the mind and the body, the wishes and illusions of the being and living. Today this influence make people crazy and obsessed with physical perfection, a lot of women want to look as Barbie and transform their bodies by artificial ways.
